Unemployment as defined by ILO (international labor organization) occurs when people are without job and they have actively sought work within past four weeks. Unemployment is a worldwide curse. It is not only prevalent in underdeveloped countries but also in developing and developed countries. You don’t need to become a hardcore salesperson, but you do have to learn how effectively persuade so that people will invest in you. If you are able to sell your vision, people will follow you because you can show them your value as a human being. What we want to see is the child in pursuit of knowledge, not knowledge in pursuit of the child.
Teaching is not something that can be confined to one set way. There are many different approaches that can be used successfully. It is not a problem if teachers do not always agree on the way things are taught. One method might work better for one teacher, while another works better for someone else. This should not be a cause for concern or conflict. Disagreements among teachers are sure to arise, but they simply need to be explained. This way the dispute between the parties can be resolved. It is not only prevalent in underdeveloped countries but also in developing and developed countries. You could actually paint lots of things that you find on a walk, for example, large leaves. Another idea is to get a big bucket of water and some paintbrushes and just paint everything with water – the floor, walls, etc. (outside of course). Finger painting is another good way to paint. They will get paint all over their hands anyway so you might as well make it intentional.
As far as socialization, I repeat… I live in rural West Virginia. It was general socialization that I was hoping to avoid. Structure can much more easily be obtained within a private home than in an overcrowded classroom filled with undisciplined children from largely ignorant parents ran by a burnt-out teacher. Socialization can still occur as well, often in groups that are not necessarily grouped in unnatural ways (how often outside of school are you surrounded by 20 people that are your exact age?) and with individuals … Read more
The IDEA law applies to all children, regardless of severity of disability. Even children in a vegetative state qualify for FAPE. When you start again, restrict your sessions to just 15 minutes of any subject. Baby steps. Then nothing is too overwhelming. Thus, places such as YMCAs, Boy and Girl Scouts, and other such groups will rise in popularity to fill the void. I’m somewhere in the middle – I’d go to Disney World even if there weren’t educational experiences but I’ll also take advantage of them because they’re there.
Some homeschooling parents have a hard time with subjects such as algebra or physics that they learned so many years before and haven’t used often since. Or maybe the parents never learned these subjects at all. In any case, a homeschooled student might struggle to translate instructions from a book into mastery of a subject in concepts that are difficult.
It can be concluded from above mentioned facts that education is not responsible for unemploymentIt is the education system and ways in which education is provided which are responsible for unemployment in Pakistan. Literacy is probably the single-most important part of education. Without literacy, all other learning is impossible. Literacy involves using reading, writing, speaking, listening, and viewing to gain more knowledge. Without the ability to do any of these skills, there is absolutely no way to acquire more knowledge. Literacy is essential for learning. It is crucial that language arts teachers are not the only ones in the school stressing the importance of literacy. While the language arts teachers may be the only ones truly teaching literacy, it is the job of all educators to facilitate literacy learning. Literacy must come before any other learning can occur, and we cannot grow as a society without literacy. Dmitri Mendeleev was a nineteenth century Russian chemist. He’s credited with the formation of the periodic table, even though other researchers before him had noticed the appearance of periodicity in collections of elements. And yet, kids in countries where it is not mandatory nor free dream of getting an education and going to school to escape the drudgery of their work.
The disadvantages you’ve described could all be attributed to your parents’ parenting style rather than to homeschooling although I do agree that (based on what … Read more

But, we do not live in a nation that truly values education. The solution from politicians has been a test them til they drop mentality. As a teacher who worked in banking and finance, I can tell you there is an incredible difference between the quality of training between these two professions. I received hands-on training with specifics in banking…in teaching I learned about Dewey, theory, etc. My job every day is the delivery of a 45 minute lesson. NOT ONE TIME have I ever been presented with an example of an excellent, high quality lesson in teaching history. I have attended workshops, conferences, joined lesson plan web sites, purchase countless books. There is nothing!!

Children become fluent in reading with practice, practice, practice. I’ve used these free, engaging reading games to hold their attention and keep them motivated. They are among the best methods for turning the hard work of learning to read into play. So, is a one-time $72.95 investment in your child’s future worth it? If you ask me, this kind of opportunity would be well worth it at ten times the cost. Our children are the future of this world and nothing is too good for them. The fact of the matter is that you just can’t put a price on a good education. Giving your kid the power of putting their future in their own hands turns $72.95 into a mere pittance: a drop in the bucket.
Because my parents were convinced college was out of their financial reach and I had no one countering that belief, I began working full time after graduation and going to junior college part time. In my first classes, I struggled with procedural issues. I didn’t know how to write a paper to the professor’s liking, as everyone around me did. I didn’t participate in discussions because the other students seemed to be smarter … Read more
Sometimes correspondence education is called Correspondence Courses, Extension Courses, Extended Studies, Home Study, Continuing Education, External Studies, Self-Paced Studies, Independent Studies and Distance Learning (See Reference 1). Similarly, distance education is also called Cyber Education, Online Education, Virtual Education, Technology-Supported Education, Hybrid Education and Distributed Learning. Given the plethora of educational delivery modes currently available, students often get confused over the similarities and differences between correspondence education and distance education, further compounded by the fact that there are still other online delivery modes, such as synchronous live chats or hybrid online classes, among others. P.S. I am so happy you came to my page and commented if it were for that I would of never seen this list. Carousel of Progress ~ (open only seasonally). This attraction looks at the homes of four generations of the same family from the days before electricity to present day. It shows how times have changed do to inventions and innovations.
Can early education garner support from both sides of the aisle? David Jacobson sees reason for optimism at the state and local levels. There are lots of great games you can play with your young child with little or no equipment. Supportive services … Read more

Wow this was fun reading! Didn’t know Amir khan was a college dropout…and look at him sitting there with Hilary Clinton. THanks for sharing. The man’s immobility has little or nothing to do with his education. There are many educated men who are lazy and do not aspire to be anything greater. There are also educated men without jobs who seem to always want to get by and mooch off family.
You can opt out of it, but no one has. The children just think it’s funny…last week they learned about erections, etc, which I’m sure I did not know about at age 9. However, children these days are not the same as 30 years ago … Read more
New skills and knowledge can spark a lifetime of change. Every day, EDC’s programs in education, health, and economic development deliver life-changing opportunities to those who need them most. A bias against educated people? I? I have a BS in Chemistry (not one of the fuzzy subjects that have no real answers). I possess a 4 year trade school diploma, and when I passed my journeyman electrician’s exam 14 years ago (an exam over half of the people fail the first time they try) it was with the highest score ever recorded in the state, and one that stands to this day.
At the same time may people have argued that higher education is too focused on jobs and has neglected the need for teaching broader aspects of education. Many have pushed for broadening medical courses into areas that teach doctors to relate better with their patients and to have business skills.
Another big problem is out of field teaching, where teachers are asked to teach subjects outside their area of expertise. The problem here is not the teachers. It’s the fact that there’s a shortage of teachers in some subjects, such as math and the sciences.

We help state and federal governments, school districts, companies, and foundations gain insight into the ever-evolving digital learning landscape so they can successfully plan and implement best practices related to educational technology. Using a student-made board game about elements and the periodic table has several benefits. Students learn about chemistry as they create their game and as they solve someone else’s. They also practice working cooperatively if they create the game with someone else.
After reading your article, I had to comment on a part written where you wrote; Education, on the other hand, opens the mind, encourages a search for truth and develops a mind that can engage critically with many different ideas… I believe this whole heartedly. If you allow yourself the opportunity to RECEIVE fact based information, you enable yourself a better opportunity at making SOUND decisions. A conscious mind is powerful and can’t be deceived… Great topic!
