Learning Transforms Lives.

ACE and 34 other higher education associations wrote to the leaders of the House and Senate budget and appropriations committees, asking them to maintain Congress’s historic commitment” to financial aid and research in FY 2018. Our youth deserve the opportunity to complete their high school and college education, free of early parenthood. Their future children deserve the opportunity to grow up in financially and emotionally stable homes. Our communities benefit from healthy, productive, well-prepared young people.

In addition to homeschooling my son, I’m one of the organizers of a local homeschool co-op. We get together for classes once a week and enjoy such things as hands-on science experiments, recorder class, sharing the poems and stories we’ve written at home, fun writing activities, critical thinking activities, hands on activities that help us learn about various cultures, art, lunch, and of course recess.

Compliments are very unsettling to me and it makes the likelihood of me having something intelligent to say drop like a rock. I also tend to fail to understand all of the rules of social etiquette unless I can read them somewhere and even then I often fail to properly generalize them. Making a career choice these days is getting tougher, and not everybody gets a career in engineering and medicine; nor can many of us become the part of the bureaucracy élite. Who ever would have thought that Lego would offer free educational games for Pre-K? The site is full of pure fun with a ton of online games for kids of all ages. Lego is kind enough to separate the games fit for Pre-K under a separate tab. These games are not traditional teaching games that teach letters and numbers, but they are a fun way for kids to train dexterity and problem-solving skills.

Just a warning-the music is so catchy that you may have it stuck in your head for days! Even for children who don’t use ASL everyday, watching Signing Time! expands vocabulary and increases language and reading abilities. At age two, my son has learned words most five year olds don’t know. Signing Time! is a wonderful learning tool.

Education is one the important thing that people should have in their life. But unfortunately not all the people can finish their education while there are attend the schools or college. But in this time most of the people with a good education are very lucky in their life because they can have a better life than others. Here is some reason why we should continue for education. Bravo! As an ex-teacher I wholeheartedly agree. Kids would always ask me why I, as a social studies and science teacher, insisted that they read and write so much…you put into words exactly why I insisted upon it. Still an educated being will share his/her expertise even without re-numeration. He’ll do it for free just for the sake of his countrymen to be educated, too!

Honestly if I thought that I could personally deliver an excellent education to my children I definitely would have, but alas there is so much that I still have to learn.
