The reading level of the material is suitable for kids in grades 6-12, but younger students can make use of the archived photos and documents. Crime reduction: This is another importance of education to nations. How can education reduce crime? A reader of this article may be confused when the introductory part of this page included ‘crime reduction’ as one of the educational importance to nations. People separate themselves from crime because they were taught the consequences of any committed crime. These punishments of any offense make many to detach from anything that will lead them to crime. Again, with education, people learn to be disciplined and … Read more
Thingiverse Education provides over a hundred free lessons that make teaching with a 3D printer easier and more effective for a variety of grade levels and subjects. It also provides a community where educators can exchange best practices or remix projects. It’s easier for people to think that the homeless are just lazy and prefer to live on handouts. It gives people a sense of control over their own lives, thinking that it cannot happen to them because they are not lazy and do have jobs. Thanks for this lens. Very stereotype-breaking.
I applaud to you! Thank you! I have someone speaking my mind!Vote up and useful! hmm… There is infact a big difference in educated/exposed to culture vs the opposite though. Nevertheless, educated does not have to mean college grad. Intelligence always seeks out learning whether in an institution, in life, or self taught.
Unfortunately, everybody knows this but the big institutions are scared from change. Tony, this is really an insightful profile of an educated person. You are, for sure, such a person, and most of the hubbers on HubPages are. Pulling your hair out trying to relate to your teen or young adult? A change in perspective, … Read more
Children become fluent in reading with practice, practice, practice. I’ve used these free, engaging reading games to hold their attention and keep them motivated. They are among the best methods for turning the hard work of learning to read into play. Very interesting. I just graduated with an associates in IT Business Management and I’m feeling the effects of not having a bachelors. I will try to pursue that if time and life permits… Thanks for the great tips. I gave you thumbs up and interesting.
I believe that no college and/or postgraduate educated woman should ever go with a lesser educated and/or blue collar man. First of all, they have nothing in common. The worldview of the college and/or postgraduate educated woman is more vast than that of the blue collar man. She also has more intellectual and cultural interests than he does and/or will ever have.
Business: Consumer psychologists study consumers’ behaviors to find insights that could helpful for businesses. Industrial-organizational psychologists, on the other hand, focus their attention within the company, looking for ways to increase productivity through things such as better employee selection and training or a better designed or organized workplace. Controversy has raged among educators and professionals working with children with profound hearing loss about whether deaf children benefit from learning sign language. Whereas some argue that sign is the natural language of the deaf, others believe that sign may inhibit the ability to learn vocal and written language. In West Africa for example, the major centres of economic growth are located within 150 miles of the coast. Opportunities for employment either in industrial or in agricultural areas are greater along the coast where most of the capital cities and major seaports are located. It is not surprising therefore that there is a marked relocation of population from interior to the coastal areas.
You’re so right, Pathways Preschool. A warm, loving, and inspiring teacher makes all the difference. However, the school’s program must allow her to shine. If the adult to student ratio is too high or if the owner demands too many structured activities, she’ll become frustrated and defeated. There’s a huge turnover rate for preschool teachers because of the lack of respect and low wages. Parents may choose a school because of a certain teacher, but there’s no guarantee she’ll stay around.

De Mille suggests that there are three types of schooling: public school, professional education and leadership education. The Thomas Jefferson method claims to be a system that trains people for leadership roles. Many children will benefit from special educational services to a great extent. Many children benefit so much that they no longer require services or extra support. These children are declassified and no longer require an IEP (the declassification process requires objective testing to demonstrate that the child no longer requires extra help to obtain equal access).
Conversely, in the poorer nations and among the poor in the United States and in first world nations, larger families are the norm. People who have large families tend to be less educated, intelligent, and affluent. They contend that children are a preordained part of life which cannot be stopped. They see no point in planning for their children. They oftentimes cannot and/or refuse to see the ramifications for their actions. They are of the school of what happens, happens as far as having children are concerned.

It also provides a community where educators can exchange best practices or remix projects. I shall be completely civil in my response. I do not WATCH television at all. I read thank you! What I am saying is based upon experience and commonsense. The purpose of a college education is to have a HIGHER and BETTER quality of life and relationships, not to settle for an average Joe/Josephina when one can do better, Jeez! Why are people so content to settle for an amoebic, humdrum, barely surviving existence when they can have an affluently fantastic life? Well, I am totally nonplussed here! I thought that intelligent, well educated people want an affluent life-well, I guess not! Well, YOUR loss, not mine!
You’re funny, gm, funny and so sad at the same time. I really do hope that one day you learn some of what is worth knowing in this world, but it won’t come from a book when you do, and it won’t come from a college. It will come from the world … Read more

With a K-12 education, Filipino professionals who aspire to work abroad will not have a hard time getting jobs in their chosen field. Furthermore, they will be able to help their families in the Philippines more with remittances, property purchase, and small businesses.
This innovation is really great. I just hope that the government should really support this by providing more school, classrooms and school supplies. If the government is really serious about this change then they should focus in providing funds not in getting money from our pocket.

You might be laughing at my sentence but the job of a politician is hard. There are other activities relating to the periodic table that many students find fun. There are many assumptions about homeless people. Perhaps the most common is that all of them are too lazy to work. Having been there myself and having worked with many others in the same situation, I have to say that for the vast majority of homeless people, the assumption that they are lazy is dead wrong. In economically depressed areas in an economically recessed economy and hiring preferences (thus discrimination for the unprefered) homelessness is an outcome of unemployment, not the cause. They don’t pay 5 to 10 cents a can for recycling, or that might help. 2 cents isn’t enough. Some people want you to work for free…not food, not shelter, not trade…but as a slave. Weird world. The solution is equity in hiring.
