Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System ( IPED s) includes information from every college, university, and technical and vocational institution that participates in the federal student financial aid programs. Datasets include year-over-year enrollments, program completions, graduation rates, faculty and staff, finances, institutional prices, and student financial aid. My 4th grade teacher, Miss Cartarphen, whom I’ve mentioned more than once, was such an excellent and creative English grammar teacher (and some subjects do require learning what is already established knowledge in order to be able to think and create more independently!). She had an uncanny ability to INSTILL that dry subject into her students and cause us to appreciate it in such a way that we simply learned to use it almost painlessly! BUT – she lacked the educational credentials and was ultimately fired from the faculty even though she had taught some of the people on the school board who fired her! Guess they missed her lessons in wisdom.

With physics, it would be difficult to do just online courses because the students need to conduct experiments to observe for themselves the effects and see theories in action. Most wouldn’t have the necessary equipment at home to do those experiments.Education

Wining and dining your boss while knowing which fork to use (elegantly kissing a$$ in other words) may seem the epitome of success to you, but loving the man you married for what he is instead of his social graces and book learning is far more important.

This is an excellent lens with you personally having experienced both, the public schooling system as well as homeschooling. For some reason, I thought I’d visited this lens already, but I guess I didn’t (well now I have)! ; ) – Excellent work as always!

However, even with all my experience and knowledge, I couldn’t protect my son from bullies and his first school was a total disaster. He was bullied very badly. I can’t bear to think about that so I’ll not write about it here. We moved school and this has helped.

Amillar – thank you for your great comment and kind words! I am busy writing at the moment – seems I have hit a creative vein and I’m pressing on. Quite a few new Hubs coming up! I agree that much of what passes for education these days has more to do with social control than real growth and learning.
