Sometimes correspondence education is called Correspondence Courses, Extension Courses, Extended Studies, Home Study, Continuing Education, External Studies, Self-Paced Studies, Independent Studies and Distance Learning (See Reference 1). Similarly, distance education is also called Cyber Education, Online Education, Virtual Education, Technology-Supported Education, Hybrid Education and Distributed Learning. Given the plethora of educational delivery modes currently available, students often get confused over the similarities and differences between correspondence education and distance education, further compounded by the fact that there are still other online delivery modes, such as synchronous live chats or hybrid online classes, among others. P.S. I am so happy you came to my page and commented if it were for that I would of never seen this list. Carousel of Progress ~ (open only seasonally). Specialized Academic Instruction (SAI) has expanded throughout California’s public schools over the last few years. However, this expansion hasn’t translated into overall acceptance from educators. The hybrid program promised to adhere to key goals of the Individual with Disability Education Act (IDEA), while alleviating the finances of the state’s struggling school districts. It was supposed to be the ultimate tool to prepare students with special needs to be mainstreamed with their non-disabled peers. The term education can be applied to primitive cultures only in the sense of enculturation , which is the process of cultural transmission. A primitive person, whose culture is the totality of his universe, has a relatively fixed sense of cultural continuity and timelessness. The model of life is relatively static and absolute, and it is transmitted from one generation to another with little deviation. As for prehistoric education, it can only be inferred from educational practices in surviving primitive cultures.

New evidence on the long-term effects of grade retention in third grade shows some good news among the nuance. I believe many of homeless do not want to work. So sad. Living on the streets is time consuming and hard work. Many become so adjusted to homeless it becomes a way of life. Begging bread each day is a norm. Scriptures say not to beg bread. Jesus was talking to HIS disciples. He told them He would provide. He made the way and their work was to share the good news. They lived in lack much of the time and much of the time lived in plenty. Paul lived in lack and he also experienced the finer things though the church of God. Paul learned how to be content in feast or famine. His joy was full in Jesus Christ. He knew His eternal home. It is all about Jesus for me as it should be. I am not perfect there is only one perfect. We all fall short the glory of God.

New evidence on the long-term effects of grade retention in third grade shows some good news among the nuance. I agree that there are many ways in which to educate a child, and that it is in their benefit to be educated. My concern is the federal governments control over what and how a child learns. I feel that most children don’t fit the mold of traditional schooling, whether that be public, private, home school or even unschooling. Some will learn things later, that are currently required for them to learn at certain ages.
Even more impressive than the accuracy of his mental calculator is his ability to develop a program that can help others gain the same expertise. While being good at something can often make it harder to teach that subject, Byster firmly grasps the importance of critical thinking, which he combines with memorization techniques in order to teach his pupils how to become masters of math.
Such parents believe that the more children they have, the better although they can least afford to take care of them. Their children because they grow up in disadvantated circumstances, oftentimes become problematic to the school system and later to society. … Read more
With the internet, universal access to education is possible, but its potential is hindered by increasingly restrictive copyright laws and incompatible technologies. The Open Education program at Creative Commons works to minimize these barriers, supporting the CC mission through education, advocacy and outreach on using the right licenses and open policies to maximize the benefits of open educational resources (OER) and the return on investment in publicly funded education resources. Our work cuts across all levels of education (primary – secondary – tertiary) and sectors of industry (non-profit – corporate – government). Similarities – in systems or even in ideas – that schools share internationally have led to an increase in international student exchanges. The European Socrates- Erasmus Program 38 facilitates exchanges across European universities. The Soros Foundation 39 provides many opportunities for students from central Asia and eastern Europe. Programs such as the International Baccalaureate have contributed to the internationalization of education. The global campus online, led by American universities, allows free access to class materials and lecture files recorded during the actual classes.

I did read your comments Deidre and I just happen to disagree not from people who write about this, but from living the experience. Wall art for kid’s rooms can do more than just decorate – it can educate. I find that posters are usually reasonable in price and easily interchangeable. As your baby grows to toddler and, eventually, enters school, your child can learn by being surrounded with updated and topical posters. From the basics of the alphabet, numbers, shapes, colors, cars, farm and wild animals , as well as the ever-popular dinosaurs to the elements of science, chemistry and even guitar chords. Posters are educational art tools that are easily referenced as as teaching aids. Now, don’t get the wrong idea—like the video above mentions, I’m not saying college doesn’t work for some people. It was enshrined in law to ‘protect’ the wealthy from having to send their children to school. It is becoming an ever-increasing wave, as more and more people come round to the idea that school, as an institution is not working for all kids in the UK. Some thrive, of course, but many don’t.
