The Greeks created the world’s first democracy. Athens first started out with a monarchy and then advanced to an oligarchy until it finally reached a democracy. The democratic government consisted of 6,000 assembly members, all of whom were adult male citizens. The assembly voted on issues throughout Athens. In order for a law to pass, the number of votes needed to be a majority. But in order to banish or exile someone, all 6,000 votes were needed. Political stability: rapid and uncontrolled population growth leads to political instability because the government will not be able to meet the social and economic demands of such a rapidly changing populace. It takes you to other cultures, perspectives, views and makes you competitive in this ever-changing world we live in.
I have never really tried wiring poetry using interactive sites. I could give it a try though. This lens convinced me. If you can, vary the parks and playgrounds that you visit as it keeps it more interesting for you! I haven’t even touched the surface of the valuable information you’ve shared on this lens. My son and I will be back!

Over the past twenty-five years, the educational advancement made by women has been significant. The gaps for educational attainment between the genders have all but disappeared for the young women being educated today. While girls still lag somewhat behind boys on mathematical and science achievement, girls in high school average higher grades and reach higher achievement levels in reading and writing compared to same age boys. The discrepancies in achievement by subject persist into adulthood. It has been shown that women between the ages of 16 and 65 achieved higher scores on comprehension and interpretation of prose that similar age men. There were also less women (40 percent) scoring at a low level in these areas compared to men (44 percent). Consistent with finding from earlier ages, women do not score as well as men in number related subjects such as mathematics (Sax, 2008). Great Lens: I have always found that if an activity is not fun for the adult the chances are the 3 year old will not enjoy it too. Children take their love of play from those around them. All too often parents just sit the child in front of the TV and wonder why when they … Read more
Education is one the important thing that people should have in their life. But unfortunately not all the people can finish their education while there are attend the schools or college. But in this time most of the people with a good education are very lucky in their life because they can have a better life than others. Here is some reason why we should continue for education. I think it’s a matter of expectations. Having taken online courses and traditional courses personally, and having interacted with students and with employees with both types, there is a difference. So education gained through attending schools and colleges is not necessarily the best education or even the right education.

Thingiverse Education provides over a hundred free lessons that make teaching with a 3D printer easier and more effective for a variety of grade levels and subjects. It also provides a community where educators can exchange best practices or remix projects. I shall be completely civil in my response. I do not WATCH television at all. I read thank you! What I am saying is based upon experience and commonsense. The purpose of a college education is to have a HIGHER and BETTER quality of life and relationships, not to settle for an average Joe/Josephina when one can do better, Jeez! Why are people so content to settle for an amoebic, humdrum, barely surviving existence when they can have an affluently fantastic life? Well, I am totally nonplussed here! I thought that intelligent, well educated people want an affluent life-well, I guess not! Well, YOUR loss, not mine!
You’re funny, gm, funny and so sad at the same time. I really do hope that one day you learn some of what is worth knowing in this world, but it won’t come from a book when you do, and it won’t come from a college. It will come from the world … Read more
Browse by education issue, legislation, search our knowledge base for any topic, even chat with us live! As a homeschool mother, I am have given up being able to do many things that a public school mother can do. But it is worth it to me because I believe the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. Yes, there are some disadvantages to home schooling, but I don’t believe this lens accurately represents any of them.
Posters can vary in size for different areas of the room, but there are also standard size posters. These are inexpensive and easily interchanged within a frame as subject interests change, or just stick push pins in for temporary hanging. There are also choices in art prints; a little pricier, but adds a theme to the room. I hope you’ll find some of these educational art posters useful or, the very least, give you some ideas on how to help your child learn what is needed in a particular time of life.
In India for example, children who have just learned to walk and talk are pushed into kintergartens and nurseries and forcibly taught English, when they should be learning their mother tongues. This is because Indian … Read more
Unless you’re lucky enough to personally know a school teacher or education professional, finding a comprehensive Brainetics review online can be a daunting task. Instead of writing alone we work together. We talk, discuss, research and make beautiful books. This takes dedication and time on my part, but it works, so it’s worth it. It is not exceptional (in the UK) for the children of poor people to become successful and wealthy, as it is not exceptional for the children of the wealthy to become poor although many are sheltered by family money.
In Pakistan, there is no concept of counselling service for students so many students opt wrong subjects which does not ensure better career opportunitiesSome students are forced by parents or societies norms to study subjects in which they have no interest. So their lack of interest causes failure and even if they succeed in securing degree by cramming they do not do well in their jobs due to lack of interest, their performance drops and eventually they lose job. This is due to defective education system in Pakistan in which students are not given career advice during their student life.

The standard of educational system can simply be seen as a systematic and generally accepted level of teaching and learning in the educational institution geared towards improving knowledge and developing skills. According to Plato, such a system … must be one that can be shown to produce the highest possible perfection and excellence of the soul (laws 788 of-10). When I was healthy and owned my own home, I took in homeless teens, young adults, and a few older people. I also volunteered at charities that help people living in poverty such as food pantries, homeless shelters, and literacy programs. Now that I’m physically disabled, I provide content and web editing services to several charities free of charge. I haven’t missed voting in a single presidential election since I started voting in 1988 and I vote in midterm elections, local elections, and primaries.

There are many assumptions about homeless people. Perhaps the most common is that all of them are too lazy to work. Having been there myself and having worked with many others in the same situation, I have to say that for the vast majority of homeless people, the assumption that they are lazy is dead wrong. I’m sorry your life has not gone the way you wished it had, but everyone has regrets. Public education does not make a person immune to poor life decisions, or there would be no such thing as mid-life crisis. And public school doesn’t gurantee success in a college setting. Everyone has different learning styles and only a small percentage of students actually learn well with standard teaching practices. I imagine your parents made a lot of sacrifices to give you the education you had, believing it to be the best option. I wonder if your mom didn’t tailor your learning to suit your learning style, which is why you noticed such a difference when you entered a traditional classroom setting. I’m sure if you chose to focus on the benefits of your home education, you would find many things you hadn’t considered before.
